Communication Manager
(Part-time)
About the role
We are looking for a part-time Communication Manager to lead and coordinate StartSchool’s external communications. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we tell our story — from student journeys and program updates to partnerships and events — across digital channels and media.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a communication and content strategy aligned with StartSchool’s mission and goals.

Manage StartSchool’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads/X, TikTok), website, and newsletters.

Collaborate with social media Heroes from Student Council.

Create engaging written and visual content (posts, stories, press releases, event recaps, student features, etc.).

Support program launches, events, and community initiatives with targeted communication campaigns.

Coordinate media relations and external communication with partners and collaborators.

Ensure brand consistency and tone across all materials.
Time commitment - 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Salary range - 1000-2000 gross for part-time
Must haves

Proven experience in communication, marketing, or public relations (preferably in education, tech, or startups).

Excellent written and spoken English and Latvian.

Strong storytelling and content creation skills (copywriting, social media, visuals).
Familiarity with digital marketing tools (Canva, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Wix, etc.). -
Interest in technology, education, and entrepreneurship.

Independent, creative, and organized work style.
